Fresh and airy is how we would describe this show kitchen. The light colour of the cabinets combined with a lot of natural light makes this kitchen bright, welcoming and looking larger than it really is. Crown moulding on the cabinets of varying heights, glass doors and cabinets coming down to the countertop give this kitchen a lot of character.

Working within a small space and with a modest budget, this simple dark shaker door accented with simple shaker crown mouldings and light valance fits great! Using classic handles to match the appliances keeps this kitchen looking timeless. The beautiful backsplash and floor tile pattern add rich textures and colours to the space, and help make the cost-saving laminate countertop look even more like granite.

Featured on the 2010 Uxbridge Christmas Home Tour, this beautifully renovated home filled with wonderful antique and heirloom furniture pieces, needed a kitchen that would bridge the old and the new. A soft gently brushed cabinet finish with granite countertops, natural stone backsplash and a warm pine floor bring it all together. Dark oil bronze accents and glass features add interest and dimension.

Openning up the family room to the kitchen, these homeowners were looking for a kitchen that would look beautiful with their new stone faced fireplace and wood flooring.  The large island with plenty of storage and a large eating area showcases the beautiful granite countertop that not only creates a dramatic feature, but picks up the natural tones of the natural maple cabinets & the stainless steel appliances.  The large pantry area with the built in microwave is dressed up with upper beveled glass cabinet doors and angled corner units.

Moving back to Canada after travelling and living abroad, the homeowners fell in love with this lovely small century home, but desperately needed more work and storage space. Maintaining the old wood floors and window and door mouldings and using a custom colour on the cabinets kept the character of this home intact. A section of 15” deep upper cabinets, drawers in the island, 6” vertical pull outs on each side of the sink and a narrow but beautiful hutch accented with the same beadboard as the island added form and function to this space.

Looking for a touch of drama, the contrast of the natural cherry style cabinets and dark granite countertops are further accented with the whimsical bright blue pendants.  A slight curve design in the sink area allows for a breakfast eating area, and a gently curved Delta faucet and curved handles work beautifully with the rounded style of the doors.

Modern and unique. These European home owners knew that they wanted to incorporate many modern elements to their kitchen. Caesarstone countertops, a large stainless steel sink, handles & appliances with classic white shaker cabinets and etched glass doors running horizontally give this kitchen a unique look. The upper cabinet doors lift up rather than swing open. The peninsula island was designed to sit four comfortably and replaces the need for a kitchenette table.

Simply elegant.  This kitchen incorporates the strong modern lines of a fabulous Blanco faucet & sink, the brilliance of iridescent glass backsplash tiles, the drama of the bronze glass curved mullion doors & the warmth of a dark stained wood island top.  Combined with the beautiful design elements of varied upper cabinet depths, fabulous range hood and integrated open shelves to display the homeowners colourful glass collection, this kitchen is all about the ‘wow’ factor.  Functionality is not lost in this great design as pull out full extension soft close dovetail drawer systems are built into the pantry cabinets, and with a beautiful island is designed to serve as a great bar area transitioning the kitchen to the sitting room.

Combining the rich warm colours found in these beautiful maple cabinets and Cambria countertops, the newly renovated space is now open to the living areas. Angled pantry doors blend the deep appliance cabinets to the generous panty space. A beautiful island is open and ready for guests to sit and enjoy their host’s company as their meal is being prepared.

Downsizing from a large century home to a comfortable bungalow, this designer homeowner knew just how to pull things together. Custom colour cabinetry and granite countertops blend perfectly with the rich floors and beautiful draperies and furnishings. The island features a wonderful breakfast corner with beautiful corbels. Simple cabinet mouldings paired with overlay door panels and heavy fridge panels add the perfect touch to this simple, yet beautiful, kitchen.

A beautiful range hood, waterfall glass in the open doors and a beautifully designed desk area help make this kitchen special. A multitude of drawers and long granite countertops make this kitchen extremely useful! Accenting the intricate softly coloured cabinet doors are the warm floor, dark handles and a varied backsplash tile adding a punch of colour and design interest.
